Rather than asking you to write one long essay, the MIT application consists of several short response questions and essays designed to help us get to know you. Remember that this is not a writing test. Be honest, be open, be authentic—this is your opportunity to connect with us. 萬眾矚目的Ivy Day終於來了! 哈佛、耶魯、普林斯頓、康乃爾、布朗、達特茅斯學院、賓州大學、哥倫比亞這八所常春藤盟校申請同時放榜,這也意味著今年美國大學的申請入學進入了尾聲。 今年的放榜日期比往年要晚了大約一週半的時間。延遲放榜時間的原因之一,是今年大多數學校的申請人數都較往年有所顯著上漲,比如哥倫比亞大學的申請人數增長了約51%,哈佛大學的申請人數增長了約17,000。 隨著申請人數上漲,隨之而來的恐怕就是錄取難度的增加。除了尚未公佈的康乃爾大學之外,今年7所常春藤學校的錄取率創下歷史新低,可謂是是史上最慘烈的一次。 話不多說,先來看看今年的錄取情況吧! 哈佛大學 2021 USNEWS美國綜合大學排名:2 哈佛大學共收到了57,435份申請,申請總數相較於去年成長了近43%。正常申請階段,哈佛共錄取了1,223名學生。 加上早鳥申請錄取的學生,今年哈佛共為Class of 2025錄取了1,968人。今年哈佛的錄取率為3.4%(去年為5%),為史上最低。 耶魯大學 2021 USNEWS美國綜合大學排名:4 今年耶魯大學共收到了46,905份申請,相比去年增加33%。今年耶魯大學共發放了2,169張錄取通知,錄取率4.6%,相比去年下降了近2%。 正常申請階段從38,966人中錄取1,332人,錄取率為3.42%;早鳥申請階段從7,939人錄取837人。 有1,030名學生被放入耶魯wait list名單中。值得注意的是,耶魯官網稱:尚有336名在2019-2020年期間被錄取,但選擇延遲一年入學的學生,將在2021年加入。 賓州大學 2021 USNEWS美國綜合大學排名:8 相比哈佛、耶魯,賓大的錄取資料看起來就相對友好多了。官網指出,今年賓大共收到了56,333份申請,共發放了3,202張入學通知,錄取率達到了5.7%。但相比去年還是下降了近2.3%。國際學生在錄取學生中占比11%。 其中賓大的文理學院、工程學院、沃頓商學院和護理學院共招收了2,400名一年級學生。 普林斯頓大學 2021 USNEWS美國綜合大學排名:1 由於疫情關係,普林斯頓大學今年取消早鳥申請。普林斯頓大學今年共收到了37,601份申請,申請人數相比去年增加了15%。 但今年只有1,498名學生收到了入學通知,錄取率只為4.0%,相比去年下降了1.6%。 哥倫比亞大學 2021 USNEWS美國綜合大學排名:3 在2020-21招生週期中,哥倫比亞大學共收到了60,551份申請,申請數量激增51%。 但哥大今年只發放了2,218張入學通知,錄取率驟降至3.7%,創歷史新低,僅次於哈佛了。 布朗大學 2021 USNEWS美國綜合大學排名:14 作為常春藤最早釋出消息的布朗大學,錄取率也是沒讓人失望。 據報導,今年布朗大學共收到46,568份申請,其中只有1,652名學生被錄取,錄取率跌到3.5%。 再加上早鳥申請錄取的885人,布朗大學的整體錄取率為5.4%,同樣創歷史新低! 達特茅斯學院 2021 USNEWS美國綜合大學排名:13 達特茅斯學院今年共收到了28,357份申請,相比去年增加了33%。 但今年達特茅斯的錄取總數卻破了近40年的最低記錄,僅發了1,749張入學通知,錄取率僅為6.2%,去年為8.8%。 除了常春藤學校之外,美國其他頂尖高等院校今年的錄取率也異常惹眼。 麻省理工學院MIT 過去一年,MIT共收到破記錄的33,240份申請,但今年MIT只發放了1,340張入學通知,整體錄取率只有4%,相比去年下降了3.3個百分點。 這其中還有早鳥申請階段錄取的719人,正常申請批次只錄取621人,但申請人數足足有28,000人,所以說實際上MIT的錄取率僅為2.2%。 芝加哥大學 3月12日芝加哥大學發佈錄取通知,但遺憾的是芝加哥大學暫未透露今年的申請資料。 但根據College Confidential的消息,2021年芝加哥大學一共收到了37,986份申請,破了歷年來的申請記錄。最終錄取2,408人,錄取率為6%,創歷史新低。 杜克大學 杜克大學4月6日發佈消息:今年收到了44,481份申請,只有1,907名申請者被錄取,錄取率僅為4.3%,同樣跌至歷史新低! 加上早鳥申請資料,杜克大學的整體錄取率約為5.8%,相比去年下降近2個百分點。 約翰霍普金斯大學 3月20日約翰霍普金斯大學發佈公告:共收到了33,236份申請,只錄取了1,652名學生,錄取率約為4.9%。 早鳥申請階段,約翰霍普金斯大學共發放了824份入學通知,所以JHU的整體錄取率在6.4%左右,較去年下降了2.4個百分點。 總體來看,“跌跌不休”可以當選今年美國大學錄取的關鍵字了。可以看出疫情並不會對那些留學目標堅定的學生造成影響,相反與往年相比今年申請競爭壓力更大。================================================== 當然,常春藤學校之所以難進,也正是因為其本身所具備的超高教學實力所帶來的的吸引力,以致於全世界學生擠破頭想進入這些夢寐以求的頂尖學校。 而想要實現夢想進入這些高等院校,托福分數自然必不可少。因此,如果你也有想進入常春藤名校就讀的夢想,就從考個托福100、甚至110開始吧!現在你只需要點開下面的連結,接著花 2-4 個月的時間跟緊我們的腳步,然後你就可以結束這一切的托福備考惡夢。就是這麼簡單! 立刻加入福爾摩思官方帳號,讓課程顧問協助您完成高分目標。 或是Line好友立刻搜尋 @allpass
